Rayovac is the third largest U.S. manufacturer of batteries. Headquartered in Madison, Wisconsin, Rayovac employs 2,300 individuals worldwide, and according to data provided by A.C. Nielsen they are the fastest growing battery company in the U.S. Rayovac markets the number one selling domestic rechargeable brand battery, and is the world leader in hearing aid batteries.

Their partnership with Printek came about when Rayovac was in the process of implementing an ERP system, SAP/R3. Rayovac's legacy mainframe based printers were not compatible with the new system. Their existing printers were responsible for printing shipping documents that, if not available, would seriously affect the function of their distribution centers. The new printers they were to choose would serve a critical role in the success of the SAP/R3 project.

Rayovac performed exhaustive testing of various printer manufacturers to find a printer that would handle the heavy workloads and fit right in with their SAP/R3 project. The Printek FormsMaster 8000 met or exceeded all of Rayovac Corporation's selection criteria for their mission critical printing needs. Rayovac chose the FormsMaster 8000 with a built-in Ethernet interface that eliminated the need for an external server.

Prior to the roll-out of the FormsMaster 8000's, Rayovac's technical staff asked to have the printers pre-configured with Rayovac's parameter settings. Printek was able to accomplish this request and shipped the printers directly to each location ready to go. This enabled Rayovac to meet the tight ERP project schedule without any delays or issues.

The Printek FormsMaster 8000's have performed flawlessly since their installation in Rayovac's network environment. The environmental conditions that some of these printers are exposed to can destroy all but the most durable printers. The metal construction and heavy-duty capabilities of the Printek printers are a perfect fit in this type of environment. Printek printers have played an important role in the success of Rayovac's SAP/R3 project. Printek and Rayovac continue to work together towards future mission critical applications.
