About Printek's Dot-Matrix Division
Printek, Inc. was established in
1980 with the mission to build high quality dot matrix printers. The Company's
first products, the models 910, 920, and later the 930, sold well in general
purpose midrange printing applications. In 1986 we discovered that many
of our customers had a need to print multiple-part forms with better legibility,
reliability, and efficiency. This led Printek to design the industry's
first true "forms printer", the FormsPro 2000. The FormsPro
2000 was quite a success with its ability to handle thick, difficult forms
without jamming, and to pound through forms with up to nine parts with
good legibility. Thousands of FormsPro 2000 printers remain in operation
today.
The next generation of forms printers
from Printek was the FormsPro 4000 series. The 4000 series was a significant
step up in speed and capability form the FormsPro 2000, and offered a
revolutionary new concept in paper handling: Tri-Trak. The Tri-Trak system
allows three sets of continuous forms to be loaded at all times, and to
be brought online for printing individually at the touch of a button or
a computer command.
FormsPro 4000 series printers have
achieved a following with many Fortune 500 corporations, including Ford,
GM, US Airways, International Paper, AMP, and others. There are now tens
of thousands of FormsPro printers in operation throughout the world.
The FormsMaster 8000 series represents
the best of everything Printek has learned about forms printing over the
past decade. And the newest addition to our ever-expanding line, the PrintMaster
850 series, has been expressly designed to meet the heavy workload requirements
of transactional printing operations.
Forms printing is our only business
and we take it more seriously than anyone else. It's why we are confident
in saying that Printek is #1 in Forms Printing.
